About the Project
Quadrant Construction was looking to further increase its online visibility through search engine optimization which included redesigning its Squarespace website.

Process
Identify problems
I started by providing a document full of short and long-term recommendations to improve Quadrant Construction's SEO. Communication is key to have a successful outcome especially working remotely.
Steph from Quadrant Construction and I exchanged many emails and phone calls to share our thoughts and ideas to bring the ultimate result together.
Improvements & Implementations
With the revised sitemap with the proper hierarchy I recommended, we decided to add a few landing pages. The main landing, About, Our Process pages are newly created to provide proper introductions; The blog section (Spotlight) was redesigned with added content to have a better web presence.
Keywords were strategically placed to edited content and CTAs (Call To Action) with a proper color scheme was implemented throughout the website. Title and description tags, as well as image alt texts, were added.
Additionally, I set up Google Analytics and Search Console, as well as a Bing business page for the company.

Challenges
As this was the first time using Squarespace, I had some challenges along the way. Looking up and trying new things come with the job and I enjoyed learning new skills.
In the beginning, I used a lot more custom CSS to achieve the look and functionality I wanted until I realized that it should be easier for Quadrant Construction management to edit and update. So I eliminated as much custom CSS as possible and achieved the look by using Squarespace tools.
I created documentation for maintenance with simple CSS examples at the end of the contract and handed it over to the management team.
Results
- Organic search takes up over 65% of all visitors (Google about 60%, Bing about 3%)
- From the inception of Google Analytics to the website (May 2020) to now (Feb 2021), the impression has improved by over 400%.
The website now has a clean and well-organized look. Information is easy to find under categorized navigation and always-there CTA at the bottom of the page makes it easy for customers to contact the business.
