About this practice
I had an opportunity to practice UX design by redesigning the Musicamp Alberta website as a final project for Digital Experience Design course 1 at MacEwan University. I picked this website out of four selections of local businesses and organizations that were given to students.

Process
1. The Client
Collected the client's information as much as I can. Their URL, organizational goals, current sitemap, current contents, potential audience groups, as well as similar websites.
2. People, activities, and context
Based on the above research, I set up target audience groups. Then, created three personas that could represent different groups.
3. Existing Product
I went deeper dive into their existing product. What is the website's major function? How's is their brand? Why would they want to redevelop their website?
4. Information Architecture
I created series of questions that the personas could ask. About the organization, their program, registration information, and scholarship, etc.
5. New Sitemap
Then I moved to create a new sitemap with the questions above in mind.
6. Revise Report
In this report, I came up with three things that make the new website scannable as below:
- Simple and clear language to explain about MusiCamp.
- Proper Call to Action button/link at the right place.
- Clear layout to give flow in browsing through pages.
It also included the revised bulleted sitemap, revised content of the landing page, revised h-tag hierarchies, as well as a mood board and wireframe.
7. Finalized Wireframe
I made some changes after receiving feedback from peers before finalizing high fidelity wireframes for the landing page and Workshops page.
8. Final product delivered
I used Adobe XD to create both wireframes and mockups.
